Codorníu is the name of a family of winemakers that goes back to the sixteenth century and, since 1659, joins fruitfully with the Raventos family.
Pioneers in the production of cava, Josep Raventos Fatjó developed his first bottle in 1872, according to the traditional method but with the native Penedès varieties: Macabeo, Parellada and Xarel·lo. From then until now, the name of Codorníu is associated both art and creativity of their labels and posters, as their iconic buildings and history of the name of Cava.
