Gulden Draak Belgian beer (which means golden dragon) is a dark Belgian beer with high alcohol volume, prepared by Brouwerij Van Steenberge in Ertvelde province of East Flanders.
Gulden Draak 10.5% have a high alcohol content and a strong smell of this, which hinders the ability to easily define its aroma. However, it has a powerful aroma of barley, ripe plums and cherries. Different tasters worldwide define with a sweet coffee aroma. Compared to the aroma, the taste is a little less influenced by alcohol and hints of cherries and brown sugar. The aftertaste is slightly bitter.
