An incredibly deep Priorat. Les Crestes 2012, a blend of Grenache (80%), Carignan (10%) and Syrah (10%) with 8 months in French oak barrels. This wine comes from a vineyard planted in bare ground plot licorella 350-400 meters above sea level. The blend includes significant amounts of old vines. Its purple color is accompanied by sweet aromas of blackberries, spring flowers and a slight minerality, elegant, full-bodied flavors and a lingering, fresh and spicy finish. The freshness and exuberance of the wine is in its fullness, leaving the oak in the background. Poboleda is one of the two coldest microclimates of Priorat. This wine has a more feminine style. Drink over the next 4-6 years.
